Culinary Nutrition Workshops:
Private or Group
Culinary Nutrition is the skill of combining culinary skills with the science of food, and the combinations that make foods and herbs epinutritional -meaning that they turn on/off genes in our bodies to prevent and reduce disease. I offer both private and group classes for adults to demonstrate preparation of therapeutic food based on specific wellness goals. Clients are raving about how delicious, simple and magical the foods, drinks and desserts are, healing and delicious! These are a great learning opportunity, but also can be fun social events! The options for the event can be tailored to your interests or health goals. Whatever you want to learn, we'll use anti-inflammatory, wholefood-based ingredients that improve your health now , contribute to your personal wellness goals, and prevent against chronic disease in the future.

Cooking Workshops:

Many different options for cuisine, tailored to the health & wellness goals you have AND the type of cuisine you want. Examples of events include: Pan-Asian, Sushi, Vegan, Raw Foods, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Comfort Food, Mediterranean, American/pub food, Mexican, Indian, etc.

Generally done as a five course meal, which allows participants to experience a variety of healing drinks, snacks, salads, a main course, and desserts that are amazingly delicious and repeatable in your own kitchen

Individual 1:1 Lifestyle Design & Coaching
For those who want to quickly and deeply transform their lives, there is sometimes no substitute for focused, personal coaching that can be tailored to specific needs and circumstances. Maybe you feel stuck in a routine that doesn't support your fitness or wellness goals, or maybe you don't even have routine or structure in your life. This is where an occupational therapy wellness coach can help transform your mindset and skillset! Since it is customized to you, it can take many forms. Usually a hybrid of in-person and virtual sessions to assess, teach skills, coach, and follow-up. Here are some examples of addressed concerns:

Fit Girl Band
Women's Fitness Club
This is the Wellness OT hallmark service that combines the Eat-Move-Heal approach for women who are ready to achieve their holistic fitness goals such as: stabilizing hormones, toning & strengthening, weight loss, improving health outcomes, all while elevating mood, boosting self-esteem, confidence, body image, and increasing food-based knowledge & wisdom that will last.
For those pursuing weight loss/health goals, the mental and emotional aspects of that journey don't always get the attention they deserve. Some may feel stuck, discouraged, or ashamed. Our spirits may seem crushed because we've tried this before and can't seem to "just get it right." My mental health & spiritually informed approach helps shift your perspective, change your brain rewiring for negative outlooks, and help you achieve real results. The Fit Girl Band addresses mental and emotional roadblocks associated with body image, self-esteem, relationship with food, etc.. These groups provide skills, tools and support, helping transform the way you approach eating, moving, and healing. And you don't need to "go to the gym" or add so many steps to your day because the integrative Wellness OT approach is practical and enjoyable, even for busy moms like myself and others!
Grief/Loss Support Group
After many years of facilitating grief and loss groups for hundreds of clients in a mental health setting, it is clear to me (and research demonstrates) that unresolved trauma and loss in our lives lead to blockages and barriers to emotional, physical, and spiritual freedom. Drawing from my education in theology and experience in the mental health field, I have developed my own curriculum to help individuals come to terms with their grief and carry it differently so that the burden and weight of grief don't interfere with health and longevity. These groups are open to anyone who has experienced loss of a loved one or is grieving due to disability, chronic health condition, or loss of function in their lives. Amongst other activities throughout the course of the group, every group will include a final celebration event and butterfly release that is cathartic, healing, and meant to be shared with others if desired.


Home/Environment Toxicity Assessment
Nearly everything in our homes and environments has some connection to our health. From our food to our to our cabinets home/environmental assessments to reduce a person’s toxic load and toxic exposure to every day products that are rampant in accompanied by practical recommendations and coaching to replace and transform the home or environment using simple, sustainable solutions that are health promoting.
Child/Adult Party Cooking Demonstrations and Activities
It is not easy trying to beat the chronic disease epidemic and generational cycles of health trouble...but why not have fun while we are doing it? We must start with ourselves and with our children, and these parties are a fun, unique way to learn.
